QUALITY

Multi-stage testing from raw material to finished bottle.

Every batch of private label product passes through a multi-stage testing protocol covering identity, potency, contaminants, microbials, and stability. Quality is what your brand inherits when you partner with us.

Why testing protocols matter more than marketing claims.

Most supplement brands claim 'tested for purity and potency.' Few actually publish their testing protocols. Here's how testing works at our facility.

Every raw material is tested on receipt for identity (is this actually what was ordered) and quality (does it meet our specifications). Every batch is tested during production for potency. Every finished product is tested for contaminants, heavy metals, and microbial limits. Random samples go to third-party labs for verification.

Raw material identity testing

Every incoming raw material is tested to confirm identity before it enters production. Prevents misidentified or substituted ingredients from reaching your customers.

Potency verification

Active ingredient levels are tested at multiple stages to confirm your label claims match actual product. What's on the label is what's in the bottle.

Contaminant screening

Testing for heavy metals (lead, arsenic, mercury, cadmium), microbial contamination, pesticide residues, and other regulated contaminants.

Third-party verification

Random samples sent to independent third-party laboratories for verification. Independent eyes on our internal testing results.

Frequently asked questions

What does identity testing actually mean?
Identity testing confirms the raw material we receive is actually what the supplier says it is. For botanical ingredients especially, identity testing prevents accidentally or intentionally using a substitute ingredient. We use HPLC (high-performance liquid chromatography), microscopy, and other methods depending on the material.
What contaminants do you test for?
Heavy metals (lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury) on every batch where applicable. Microbials (yeast, mold, E. coli, salmonella, total plate count) for ingredients where microbial contamination is a risk. Pesticide residues on botanicals from sources where pesticides are a concern. Residual solvents on extracts. Allergens for facility cross-contact concerns.
Do you do stability testing for shelf life claims?
Yes. Stability testing is required to support shelf life claims (usually 2-3 years from manufacture date for supplements). We do real-time and accelerated stability testing on representative batches to validate claims.
What is a Certificate of Analysis and what's on it?
A Certificate of Analysis (CoA) is a document we provide for every batch documenting test results: identity confirmation, potency (active ingredient quantity), contaminant test results, microbial counts (where applicable), and physical specifications (color, appearance, weight). CoAs travel with every batch you receive.
Can I get extra testing for premium positioning or regulated channels?
Yes. Brands targeting Amazon's stricter supplement categories, athletic certifications (NSF Sport, Informed Sport), or hospital and clinical channels often need additional third-party verification. We can add testing on a per-batch basis at additional cost. Premium clinical brands often do this routinely.
